India’s first Glass Skywalk, Sikkim

Tourists can now enjoy Glass Skywalk in the country,India

If you want to experience the thrill of walking on the glass skywalk, then you no longer need to wait for an international travel visa to do so.

A wonderful glass skywalk has been built in Pelling of Sikkim. The skywalk in Pelling is situated in the midst of the glorious Himalayas, in front of a 137 feet high statue of Chenrezig.

Earlier, one had to go to China for the Glass Sky Walk, but now tourists can take a Sky Glass Walk in the country itself. Est Tahang Glass Sky Walk is in Hebei province of China. However, people who are afraid of heights. They will not be allowed a Glass Sky Walk. If you don’t know about it, then let’s know everything.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to walk on a transparent bridge hundreds of feet above the ground? Internet is filled with videos of people walking on glass bridges in foreign places.
You no longer need a visa and plane ticket to experience as India’s first glass skywalk is now located in the northeastern state of Sikkim.

Where is the glass sky walk?

If you want to enjoy the adventure tour, then you have to go to Sikkim. It is located in Pelling of Sikkim and is built right in front of the 137 feet statue of Chenrezig. From this place, one can see the Chenrejig idol, Teesta and Rangit rivers.


Nestled amidst the magnificent Himalayan mountains, the Glass Skywalk offers a beautiful view of the Buddhist pilgrimage site. The entire complex is located at an altitude of 7,200 feet above sea level.
The Glass Skywalk adds to the charm of a natural Buddhist shrine that doubles as a popular tourist destination. According to local folk tales, Chenrezig or Avalokiteshvara is the worldly incarnation of Lord Buddha, Amitabh.

How can glass sky walk?

If a person has vertigo, or is afraid of height, he is not allowed to go. At the same time, if a person’s heart rate goes fast, then that person will not be allowed to go. There are railings on either side of the glass sky walk. Tourists can go to the end with the help of this railing.
