The shrines of Badrinath Dham, one of the Chardham in the country, will be closed for winter at 3.35 minutes on November 19. Every year on the Vijayadashami, the date of closure of Badrinath Dham for the winter season is announced. On Sunday morning, the date of closing the doors has been announced in the presence of Rawal Ishwarpradas Namboodari, Dharmadhikari Bhuvanchandra Uniyal, Devasthanam Board officials, people associated with the temple committee and devotees. Apart from Badrinath, the valleys of Gangotri on November 15, Yamunotri and Kedarnath will be closed on November 16.

Bhuvanchandra Uniyal said that when the Sun is in the Scorpio zodiac, then humans have the right to worship in Badrinath Dham for half its duration. After this, the deities have the right to worship here. Badrinath is also included in Chardham of Uttarakhand. This shrine is situated on the banks of the Alaknanda River. This Dham is situated at an altitude of about 3,300 meters. The climate here becomes very cold during the winter, due to snowfall, due to which the doors of the Badrinath temple are closed in the winter.

Kedarnath Dham Temple


According to Dharmadhikari Uniyal, the amount of God and Goddess Lakshmi is also taken care of for performing auspicious work related to Badrinath. If someday the date is decaying then auspicious works are not done on that day also. In the original constellation, Bhadra, the valves are not closed. Ganeshji on 15 November, Adikkadeshwar of Shivji on 16, Lakshmi Pujan on 18 followed by the wardrobe of Badrinath on 19, will be closed at 3.35 pm. After this, on 20, Uddhavji’s palanquin will go to Pandukeshwar. The throne of God will be installed in the Narasimha temple on 21.
